EXCLUSIVE OUTDOOR STYLE
Attic has recently sourced quality contemporary outdoor
furniture for summer including several international brands.
"Some of our clients were frustrated with the lack of
variety and quality in outdoor furniture available in
Queenstown so we looked for ranges with quality and
durability. At Attic we don't agree with the false
economy of cheap disposable furniture that needs to be
replaced every one or two years," says Kerry.
Dining and café furniture direct from France is part of the
range, including Fermob, a company manufacturing out-
door furniture for 125 years.
"Many of the antique café chairs you will see around the
world in various antique markets and shops are original
Fermobs. Their chairs are compact and foldable but in-
credibly comfortable and durable." Emu occasional chairs
from Italy in white, black and bronze are also available
and perfect for the Southern Lakes climate. Easy to move
around the chairs are stackable and elegant.
"We also have the timeless and ever popular butterfly
chairs. Madder and Rouge have made a range of cov-
ers for these in their French striped fabric which adds
a bit of colour to the regular black, white and beige
options," she says. "We also have range of quality
outdoor cushions from Madder and Rouge."
Attic has a steady following for its unique selection of
leather Danish and Italian designer lounge pieces. Kerry
says it is the quality which sets the furniture apart from
cheaper copies. "These pieces are bespoke, one off
items that will transform the starkest of rooms with
personality and a cool, vintage vibe."
ALL YEAR GIFTS
Attic has a range of smaller pieces of furniture and home
accessories perfect for gift giving any time of the year.
"We have a variety of beautiful collectables both old and
new which make unique and surprising gifts with some-
thing for everyone," says Kerry.
"We stock lovely candles, beautiful Italian vintage
Murano vases, little porcelain dishes, wood and porcelain
containers for toiletries or jewellery and summer essen-
tials like towels, wraps and colourful totes. We even have
some quirky masculine pieces for the guys."

The team at Queenstown's newest homestore, Attic, is focused on providing exceptional quality both in their products and overall customer
experience. Owner Kerry Barris Brown sources the eclectic range of contemporary and vintage furniture and accessories for the store from
around the world. Her team on the shop floor includes Helen Macdonald and interior designer Marcie Reddell. "Helen has been with Attic
since the very early stages of our business and has a passion and genuine interest in helping Attic customers select the right pieces for their
home. Her knowledge of our stock means she can source particular pieces that we may not have on the floor," says Kerry. "Marcie is our
newest team member and as an interior designer can advise on what pieces will transform a room. Her knowledge of design space, the effect
of light and how to achieve a particular style is an invaluable tool for customers who are unsure how to achieve their ultimate look."
